Personal hygiene products are almost always marketed toward specific groups of people — women, men, and sometimes even manly men.

But what separates one body wash or shampoo from another, aside from the scent, packaging, and person using it in the advertisement? Essentially nothing.

Rudy’s Barbershop was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1993 on the principle of inclusion, to provide people from all walks of life with a place to get a quality haircut.

Now, the company is bringing some much-needed inclusion to the hygiene and beauty industry by expanding from fresh fades at the shop to impressive hair and body products that are equally appealing to men and women.

Named the 1-2-3 Shower Bundle, Rudy’s new line of shower products consists of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bundle is designed to be safe on all skin types and all hair types, even if it’s treated with dye, and uses Rudy’s signature scent that comprises a combination of citrus, cedar, and juniper. The products are all sulfate-free, paraben-free, and only tested on humans, so they’re safe to use, too.

I found the shower products’ refreshing citrus smell neither predominantly masculine nor feminine. To describe them plainly, they just smell good.

While taking a shower with these products will have you feeling great, Rudy’s aims to make others feel their best by also supporting an amazing cause. For every purchase of the 1-2-3 Shower Bundle, Rudy’s has teamed up with the It Gets Better Project to donate one week of products to a homeless shelter across the country serving LGBTQ youth.

In addition to the 1-2-3 Shower Bundle, I also tried Rudy’s Shower Bombs, and they are truly amazing. The Shower Bombs come in four scents — eucalyptus, citrus, lemon grass, and woodsman. Unlike a bath bomb that’s simply tossed into a tub of water, the shower bomb is to be placed somewhere in the shower where it will get wet, but not drenched. Once the shower bomb is wet, it releases a scented aroma that will make your shower much more enjoyable. All of the shower bombs were great, but the eucalyptus bomb was my favorite. It was a soothing aroma that made me want to stay in the shower for longer than usual.

Whether you’re a man or woman, or looking for something the whole family can use, Rudy’s 1-2-3 Shower Bundle is the way to go. And for a super relaxing shower, pick up some of the Rudy’s Shower Bombs, too.
